Good Week for Peaceniks vs "blustering and blundering"

I half listened to President Obama's Convention Nomination Acceptance speech since there's only one issue I really worry about: is the president going to get us into another horrific war? Considering that I believe all politicians lie, I was still excited and even cheering when he said:
So now we face a choice. My opponent and his running mate are new to foreign policy, but from all that we’ve seen and heard, they want to take us back to an era of blustering and blundering that cost America so dearly.
After all, you don’t call Russia our number one enemy – and not al Qaeda – unless you’re still stuck in a Cold War time warp. You might not be ready for diplomacy with Beijing if you can’t visit the Olympics without insulting our closest ally. My opponent said it was “tragic” to end the war in Iraq, and he won’t tell us how he’ll end the war in Afghanistan. I have, and I will. And while my opponent would spend more money on military hardware that our Joint Chiefs don’t even want, I’ll use the money we’re no longer spending on war to pay down our debt and put more people back to work – [statism alert] rebuilding roads and bridges; schools and runways. After two wars that have cost us thousands of lives and over a trillion dollars, it’s time to do some nation-building right here at home.

Keep it up, Barack, and you might win re-election because Americans are sick of war. (And that's more like two trillion and counting on those last two wars, Barack.) Though I, of course, recommend voting for the Libertarian, Governor Gary Johnson.

Only Israel's Fuhrer "Bibi" Netanyahu and the neocons want war. As well as their fanatical followers like Mitt "Mormons are a Lost Tribe of Israel" Romney. I really want to protest some Mormon temples NOW, not after he gets elected and starts a war. (Since I'll probably end up in Romney's camps quick enough.)

Here's Romney saying Israel is the Promised Land - which even the Mormon's don't believe... Oh, and that he wants a first strike vs. Iran. Yup!

Of course, the Democratic hoi poloi at their convention must have made Fuhrer Netanyahu and friends nervous when they refused to give a 2/3 voice vote to put into the Democratic Party platform support for Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel. It took the Los Angeles mayor who was chairing the proceedings three voice votes of approximately 1/2 for and 1/2 against the resolution before he gave up - and declared that the 50-50 vote actually was a 2/3 vote FOR the resolution. Listen to the boos from angry delegates presented in full on Al Jazeera. Justin Raimondo had some fun with it too at Antiwar.com.

Neocon Elliot Abrams made a big deal of it. But to add insult to Israeli injury, it turned out the Republicans forgot to put in their platform their 2008 promise they would move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Ha ha ha.

Yeah, it's been a bad week for Fuhrer Netanyahu. He angrily broke up a cabinet meeting accusing members of leaking information to the press about disputes over war against Iran. Then it came out he really did have a shouting match with the U.S. Ambassador to Israel because the United States isn't doing enough to destroy Iran. As John Glaser wrote:

The outburst from Netanyahu was a clear sign of his aggressive style and ideological zeal for war. President Obama has militarily surrounded Iran, committed covert cyber-war on Iran, supported the Israelis as they assassinated civilian Iranian scientists, and heaped unprecedented harsh sanctions on Iran which are crippling their economy…all to stop a nuclear weapons program that both the US and Israel admit Iran doesn’t even have. Yet Netanyahu wanted more, and wasn’t getting it. So he threw a tantrum during a diplomatic meeting.
That's Romney's bosom buddy...

Gary Johnson running on the Libertarian Party ticket obviously is better than both of them, since he'd cut the military 43% the first year and start closing down bases worldwide. And he says he'd stand up to the Netanyahus of the world. But the manipulating media doesn't want you to know that. Nevertheless, they may have to report on some of it. All because of Ron Paul's energetic efforts of the last few years, and the fact Johnson may get the most votes of any libertarian candidate so far and influence the outcome of the election. Gary Johnson is getting the most media of any libertarian presidential candidate so far. So all those antiwar Republicans - and pro-peace and pot Democrats - will have someone to vote for after all.
And equally good news!! The Libertarian Party finally managed to BOOT ROOT from the Libertarian National Committee! That's Egomaniacal Born Again Christian Jewish Gambler Wayne Allyn Root. He wrote SO enthusiastically about Romney beating Obama and Romney supporting Israel that even past Libertarian supporters got fed up with him. We were starting to organize a campaign to boot him out, including a protest at the November "LNC" meeting in Washington, DC. He took the hint and ran. See my BOOT ROOT webpage here. And his blessed resignation letter here. See Adam Kokesh's fun video report here about "Rooting out W.A.R." (Root's self-ballyhooed initials.)
Yup, it's been a good week for peaceniks!!
