Cartoon from Gaza Concentration Camp

Ground Hog and Valentine's Day have passed and Mardi Gras is over. But Gaza is still not free. What is a righteous gentile to do but note the millions imprisoned in Gaza (and to somewhat lesser degree, the West Bank) from time to time?

They are, to a considerable degree, imprisoned there, but they are imprisoned due to a set of circumstances - the most important f which is the fact that Hamas is the government, although getting rid of it wouldn't be enough to cure the situation.

There are any number of places where the situation is worse - consider the situation of North Korean refugees in China. Well, that's an extreme case. But there are people in places trapped by politics. some people in Sri Lanka are in worse shape than this.

The most important factor is that Israel has been an expansionist state since inception of Zionism, intent on taking over more and more land and ethnically cleansing Arabs who had lived there hundreds of years or more and usually had clear property titles, which they can still prove. Also, of course, Israelis are always saying we all have to learn from Nazi crimes during the Holocaust - which started with Nazis grabbing property, ethnically cleansing whole areas and sticking people in camps. The fact they've been doing that to Arabs in Palestine for 62 years certainly makes them look like major hypocrites.
